The Catwalks 2009 - 10.

Chanel.

I decided to look on the Chanel website for some inspiration and I loved what I saw! The models were wearing the most beautiful clothes ever made. On the catwalk I saw that the main type of clothing style was the Nautical Trend. There were a lot of ankle length cardigans with large buttons and also sleeved tunics and loose linen trousers. It wasn't the only remaining trend from spring, the Ethnic Tribal trend was still there in the form of very detailed Maxi Dresses and Silk wraps and there were also many of the popular fringed ankle boots we see being worn as an every day shoe with jeans but on the catwalk they are being showed with dresses and tunics for beach style fashions.

The New fashions to hit Chanel were Military styled suits in blacks, purples and silvers and Tee shirt dresses with sequin and beaded tassel details.

All the fashions mentioned were finished with backcombed or bouffant hair and dramatic dark colour shades on the eyes with the signature eyeliner flick.
DKNY.
In DKNY all the fashions are pretty much the same. With mostly silk dresses on the rails there are no items that particularly stand out but at the moment they are selling their clothes in many colour choices to make their customers "FALL IN LOVE WITH COLOUR."
Personally, I think that everyone has there colour so I suppose DKNY is doing a good job this season.

Hello Again!

To get us kick started on our little mission to find the best and most affordable fashions in the UK, I'm going to do a little retail therapy online!
First of all I'll find out what is on the catwalk, what high street stores are creating and all the styles for us to try this summer/autumn.
